RF And Cavitation Therapy

Cavitation therapy uses ultrasound waves and radio frequencies (RF) in order to reduce fat and sculpt the body into the shape that you want to achieve. It is known by several different names, including Lipo-Cavitation, Ultra-Cavitation and vacuum treatment. The process uses high frequency waves in order to destroy the fat cells that are located subcutaneously (underneath the skin), releasing their contents into the body. Once this has happened, normal bodily processes will remove the liquidised fat.

Cavitation therapy is a non-invasive alternative to traditional liposuction, which does not even require the insertion of needles. The high frequency waves are applied through the skin and do not cause any disruption to these cells. However, there are a number of side effects that you should be aware of before you agree to undergo any form of RF or cavitation therapy. A prickly or tingling feeling is often experienced during the treatment, although the majority of patients describe the procedure as painless. Redness and swelling are extremely common, and should quickly subside.

This method of non-invasive liposuction is suitable for use on most regions of the body, with the abdomen, buttocks and thighs being the most common. It is also rapidly growing in popularity among men, who are using it to eliminate unwanted breast tissue, a condition known as gynaecomastia. The texture of the skin is also improved following treatment with RF and cavitation therapy.
